Do Manga Spoilers Spoil Manga?

Previous studies suggested that spoilers might increase the enjoyment of novels. However, these studies have not clarified the problem of spoilers sufficiently. Therefore, we focus on the spoilers of comics and consider the influ-ence of comic spoilers depending on the reading progress. In this work, we selected eight comics and investigated the spoilers’ in-fluence by changing the spoiler timing for readers. As a result, we revealed that spoilers reduced the enjoyment of some comics.
